The Real World: Hollywood is the twentieth season of the MTV reality series, The Real World, which follows seven diverse strangers living in a house together as cameras follow their every move and interpersonal relationships.
It is the second season to be filmed in Los Angeles, and the fifth season to be filmed in California.
Season changes[]
This season is the first to air hour-long episodes rather than the former thirty-minute episodes. To supplement the rest of the footage that was not aired, MTV implemented the Real World Dailies. MTV would continue this trend into the following seasons.
Assignment[]
The Hollywood cast members were assigned to take improv classes at iO WEST, a comedy club in Hollywood. The cast named their group WTF.
Residence[]
The Real World Season 20 house.
The cast resided in Stage 20 in Columbia Square. It's the first season of The Real World to incorporate environmentally friendly household and lifestyle choices. It has a solar-heated pool, Energy Star appliances, bamboo flooring, recycled glass counters, sustainable furniture, energy-efficient lighting, a computer powered by an exercise bike, and much more.
