Arely Avitua is a roommate on The Real World: Atlanta. She is an aspiring nurse and a mother to her four-year-old son Adrian. Originally from Mexico, Arely immigrated to the United States with her parents when she was 2. She is a Dreamer protected under the DACA program. Because of her status, she reveals in Episode 2 that she was not able to take her nurse's exam because she wasn't a citizen. In Episode 6, Arely seeks legal counsel after the father of her child threatens Adrian's main caretaker.
